Kuki Christian Church MissionThe Kuki Christian Church is the combined name of Christian Churches belonging to the Kuki Tribal people of India in the states of Manipur, Assam and Nagaland. T. Lunkim is a native Indian who studied in Bible Colleges and Seminaries in the United States in order to better equip himself to spread the gospel throughout his native land. Insurgents waging war against India and Burma are killing Kukis and burning their villages. The governments involved basically ignore the burning of villages and killing of the Kuki people. The Kukis have been reduced to refugees in their own country. In all this strife, the church is continuing to grow. T. Lunkim and other Kuki Christian Church leaders are taking time to convince others of the one church described in the Bible. Denominational churches have joined the restoration movement since the trouble began and the movement continues. I.D.E.S. is playing an important role in helping the refugees and in evangelizing. Through I.D.E.S, The Kuki Christian Church has been able to care for their people who would have perished without food or medicine as they live in refugee camps until such time as they can rebuild their villages.. The results of I.D.E.S. aid and the Kuki Christian Church ministry are well noted and witnessed by all, even the government. Many want to know more of "this God and the love of His people." The Trulock Theological Seminary in Imphal is growing and buildings had to be expanded while at the same time denominational seminaries are closing. I.D.E.S. has also provided funds for the expansion of the seminary. Most recently, the Kuki Chrisitan Church, along with F.A.M.E. and I.D.E.S. has established a Mobile Medical Clinic, traveling to villages where medical help is nonexistent. This project has also proven to be a great witness to the love of Christ.
